Bob is a Principal Scientist with over 25 years of experience.

Bob leads CEI’s Ecological Services practice and has a diverse background in leading water resources management, watershed assessment, environmental permitting, and ecological restoration projects. He is a Certified Lake Manager (CLM), a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), and professional wetland scientist. He has a M.P.P. from Duke University, where he focused on environmental policy and natural resource economics. 

Bob is an avid runner, and organizes weekly track workouts for L-Town Runners. He also enjoys creating sawdust (and an occasional piece of furniture) in his workshop. He is a founding member of the Friends of Forge Pond (also known as Lake Matawanakee)…a lake so nice, they named it twice. He also enjoys hiking, camping and traveling with his wife and two daughters.

Fast Facts:

  • Led development of the Massachusetts Watershed-Based Plans tool for Massachusetts DEP.
  • Led wetland mitigation design for a wide variety of projects, including the Industriplex and Sutton Brook Disposal Area Superfund Sites.
  • Has developed numerous lake management plans and also serves on the Board of Directors for Friends of Forge Pond (Littleton/Westford, MA).
