Transportation & Utility Services
CEI specializes in support services for large limited access highway projects, for example, utility relocation coordination, soundwall design and drainage management. CEI has strength in the smooth coordination of utility systems during the course of construction, drawing on years of experience in this area. This has become increasingly important with skyrocketing costs and increased delays associated with utility relocation. Early coordination and collaboration with utility owners as part of a dedicated effort to identify potential conflict points early in the design process is vital to minimize cost and schedule implications of utility impacts.
For smaller projects, CEI will perform comprehensive services including roadway design, drainage management, signalization, design during construction and construction administration. We have also conducted effective townwide pavement management projects under tight restrictions and in keeping with historic New England roads, and we have permitted and built access ways onto major highways for emergency use.
